Artistic Direction

Walter d'Arcangelo was born in Chieti and graduated from the Luisa D'Annunzio Conservatory of Pescara in Organ and Organ Composition and Harpsichord under the guidance of Prof. Giovanna Franzoni and M ° Francesco Baroni; He is also graduating in Composition with M ° Fabio Cellini. He has participated in numerous courses with Masters A.Isoir, H.Vogel, L.Rogg, E.Koimann, M. Radulescu, W.Zerer and P.Westerbrik. In 1994 he studied at the Organo class at the Civic School of Milan with M ° Lorenzo Ghielmi, where he deepened the executive practice of music from 1500 to 1700. Currently he is the President of the Association "Adriano Fedri" whose purpose is the promotion of organ music and research in organ art. He has many concerts in Italy and abroad; He has performed in both Austria and Germany, France, Hungary, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Spain, Switzerland and the Slovak republic, winning both public and critical success. Many prizes and awards have been awarded: 1st prize at the "Young Executives" competition (Senigallia, 1994), 2nd prize (first unassigned) at the Chamber Music Competition of Gravina City with the addition of the Jury Special Prize . He was also the winner of a scholarship banned by the European Union and the Tuscany Region at the Academy of Ancient Music for the Organo. Numerous were the recordings he performed both as a harpsichord player and as an organist: the twelve sonatas of the work by Arcangelo Corelli for the Novecento label, Michele Mascitti Op.IX sonata, the seven sonatas for flute, bows and bass by A. Scarlatti with the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and as organist various compositions for organ and violin by different authors for the record company Synthagma Musicum.
